Coffee & Change: A New Podcast

Coffee & Change: A New Podcast

Bill Kirst, our West Coast Organizational Change Management Lead in Seattle, has kicked off a new podcast series on the topic of change management. In the inaugural episode, “Tackling Change in 2017”, Bill interviews his colleague Shawna Saffle, a Manager in our Operations Excellence Practice on how we manage change in life, in work and in the world. Together they discuss and share insights on the rapid change we are encountering in a variety of industries like banking and healthcare as they shift to be more customer-centric and embrace technology.

“We don’t really need our banks the way we used to because everything can be done on our phones…with that in mind, banks needed to think a little differently on how they can keep growing their business, considering that people are just going through transactions on their mobile. How do you get people in, how do you draw them in? How do you create a culture where people feel like they belong, they’re included? When you feel like you are part of a community, that’s when trust is built.”

Brew up a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the listen!

In the podcast, Bill references to a USA Today article on change in the banking industry. You can find that article by clicking here.

Interesting discussion! Shawna is very well spoken, even with the sniffles. Well done and congrats on that promotion!

Thanks for listening Leslie! Glad you enjoyed the podcast. As I shared with a colleague recently, the good news is there is enough coffee and enough change in the world to go around. Lots to talk about for sure. Any topics or ideas you would like to hear going forward?
