I created a brand new SSIS package (ETL) using Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools 2010 on top of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
However, the “Package Configuration” item wasn’t showing under the SSIS menu in the toolbar as I expected. After a lot of poking around and no help from the internet, I finally found it.
1. Right click on the Control Flow white space and choose Properties
2. Scroll thru Properties to Configurations
3. Click the Ellipses (…)!
4. Click the “Enable package configurations” and you are back in business!
I hope this saves someone else some time!
